Learning Support Programme

(English and Mathematics)

The Learning Support Programme is for those P1 and P2 pupils who have been identified to attend a specialized programme. They get help in basic literacy skills. LSP pupils will come together thirty minutes everyday for small group teaching.

This enables them to cope better in the mainstream. The pupils are taught by specially Learning Support Co-coordinator.

There is also the Learning Support Mathematics which is only for the P1 pupils. They are also identified at the start of the year by the school readiness test which is administered to all the pupils in P1, beginning of the year, to assess their basic language/literacy and numeric skills.

LSP pupils identified can also come in in small groups to be taught by the LSM teacher. This allows the teacher to teach and give them more individual attention which in turn help the pupils to be more confident in numeracy.
