 P3 CCA allocation exercise

Dear Parent/Guardian,

RE: CCAs for Primary 3 pupils

 

We strongly encourage our pupils to take up a CCA from Primary 3, in line with MOE's vision of providing a holistic education. Your child/ward should take up a CCA and we will try our level best to allocate it to her preference. You will be able to sign up for your child's/ward's CCA on-line from the comfort of your home.

Instructions:

1. Proceed to our school's website at www.chijourladyofgoodcounsel.moe.edu.sg and click on the link CCA\P3 CCA allocation exercise. OR
2. Proceed to www.learnfusion.com/schools/chijolgc
3. The sign-in password will be your child's/ward's NRIC No: SXXXXXXXA and you will be given up to three preferences. This is done in case your child/ward is not allocated the first choice CCA, we will try and allocate her to the second choice and so on.
4. If your child is pre-selected for any CCA, you will still need to click on that CCA choice for the system to detect your preference.
5. If you are not able to access internet at home, your child can approach the general office to get a CCA Option form to be filled up manually and it should also be returned to the general office.
6. The CCA allocation exercise will begin on 9 Jan 2011 and end on 12 Jan 2011.

Attached with this letter is the list of CCAs and information you may find useful. We are also updating our website currently to give you the relevant information. Most of these CCAs are held on Mondays from 2pm-3.45pm and Thursdays from 3.45pm - 5.30pm.Your child will be informed of which CCA she has been accepted by 14 Jan 2010 (Friday) and CCA activities for P3s will commence from 17 Jan 2011.

We strongly encourage all pupils to remain in their CCA to benefit from its activities. This is also part of our efforts to inculcate in our girls perseverance and commitment in the choices they have made and not to change their minds as soon as they face challenges. As such, any change is discouraged until the child has undergone a full year of the CCA. If your child has to switch or withdraw from any CCA in the future, it could only be done in January of the following year. We would appreciate it if you could also write a letter to keep us informed.

Your child should also learn how to make arrangements to take CCA buses for subsequent CCA activities. You can help by making prior arrangements with the bus driver and this will be a good opportunity for your child to learn to be more independent.
